Camp Hi Canoe and Kayak will have the two mile Micro Trip available at 50% off regular price for canoe rentals on River Day 2020.

9:00 AM–11:00 AM - History Walk on Whiskey Island, Cleveland

Enjoy the beauty of that special place where the Cuyahoga meets Lake Erie. Experience the calm of a summer morning and learn about the fascinating history of this place. See historic photos and hear about the struggle led by Ed Hauser to save this green space from becoming a gravel dock.

10:00am - 12:00pm - Euclid Creek Trash Clean Up

Volunteers will help clean up trash in and around the stream at Euclid Creek Reservation in celebration of River Day.

This event will be limited to 9 volunteers and one staff member. If you are interested in cleaning up a different location or day please reach out and we will do our best to assist you.

Meet at the Highland Road Picnic Area Parking Lot located off Euclid Creek Parkway, near the Highland Road entrance of Euclid Creek Reservation in Euclid.

Note that the entrance to Euclid Creek Reservation from Highland Road going westbound from the Richmond Heights area will be closed, and a detour may be necessary.

Dress for the weather wearing long sleeves, pants, boots or closed toe work shoes. Bring water and work gloves. Trash bags and tools will be provided.

All ages welcome, but parents must complete waivers for those volunteering under the age of 18, and provide adult supervision.

10:00am - 12:00pm - Tinker's Creek Warrensville Heights Stream Cleanup

Highland Woods Towers & Gardens, 4748 Country Lane, Warrensville Heights

Join us on RiverDay for a stream cleanup! Tinker’s Creek and its tributaries are plagued by litter that needs to be removed. You can help the streams run clean by getting these materials out!

Cuyahoga SWCD and TCWP will provide trash bags, gloves, and water to refill your bottle. Please wear shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting wet, we will be in a shallow creek.

All groups welcome, but parents must complete waivers for those volunteering under the age of 18, and provide adult supervision.

Registration only. We have 7 volunteer spots so we can maintain social distancing.

Lunch will be provided for volunteers.
